Welcome To Durham

Alot of people think that Durham is just a ghetto place where black people live. They always talk about the gangs and the violence that goes on in Durham. I for one have lived in Durham all my life and I've never been shot at or seen any gang activities. When ever I watch the news I always see them talking about the city in a negative way. I know some people can be ghetto and annoying but that doesn't mean that everybody in the city is the exact same way. The way the the city is portrayed is shameful and ignorant because there are alot of postive things that are in this city. Of course we have crime just like every one else but to assume that we are in the ranks of Baltimore and Philidelphia is ridiculous.
