Dreams dance behind her eyelids, tempting her mind
But they're so unattainable
outstretched arms only satisfy the fingertips,
just out of reach
She dreams of a revolution
Ready to tear down this make-believe world
a world of chaos and destruction
never rebuilding what they steal from generations
She wants to change this society
Heal the scars of daily living
Clear the marijuana smoke out of cancerous lungs
and help them breath deep
Maybe without the smoky haze they can see the possibilities of life
She wants to make them
close their legs and open their minds, embracing hope
Teach them to love the life their living
She wants to save the world but they resist
Determined to deviate from morality and live hopeless
How dare she ask them to change?
-They beat her, they break her, they teach her her place
sending her dreams crashing to the ground
She no longer aspires to be anymore than this
They've made her just the same
They've done her just like the others
Sever the heart and leave the withered soul
She's filled with sorrow,
but sorrow is only the ruin left from her broken joy

She's filled with sorrow,
but sorrow is only the ruin left from her broken joy," that really got me :)
